… when you are busy making other plans.
This is always the case. We get so caught up in the minutiae of daily life – working at a tedious job, paying bills, running errands. What is it all for and where does it end? Life is so much deeper than we allow ourselves to experience. While our mind is “busying” itself with external chatter, we are missing the very life experiences that we have set up for ourselves. We focus on the small stuff and miss the big picture. You know you are doing this, when you are experiencing yourself as stressed and anxious from the details of life. This comes from an ego-place. The ego needs to feel supremely in control but the soul can relax into an experience and know that it is going through this in order to learn and therefore does not take it as seriously.
When you open up to living your life and NOT living your to-do list, your experience of life shifts for you.
We are only here on this planet for such a short period of time – maybe 100 years if we are lucky. In essence, you have the choice as to how you are going to experience those few years. Are you going to allow yourself to get caught up in the nonsense of fear, peer pressure, competition, stress and conflict, etc… or will you choose to open up to every moment and experience if for what it is? Your motto should be “no judgments.” Once you label a situation, you decide how it will affect you – learn to choose your labels carefully.
Life is over in the blink of an eye. There is no sense in wasting time over being angry, resentful, bitter, vengeful, etc… take a higher view of your life and it will always lead you to a higher place.
The best way to live life is to see it as a beautiful game. At this game, it does not matter if you win or lose, it only matters how you play it. If you play to the best of your ability and experience everything it has to offer – the good and the bad (without getting stuck), you will have lived the best life you can.
