If You Are Not Where You Want To Be

May 30, 2013

images-2… pick it up.

No one is responsible for your happiness but YOU.

You are the only one holding yourself back. Your obstacles to greatness are all imagined. Don’t allow your fears to keep you from being the best you can be.

There are no victims in life. There are only those who do not want to rise to their life lessons.

If you find your life is not where you want it to be, do whatever you need to do to get it there. The actions you take will always reap benefits. It is the inaction that creates resistance to what you want. In other words, the energy of action moves you forward (any action) and the energy of inaction creates stagnancy.

You can have whatever you want in life. You just have to pick it up and make it happen. The more you allow yourself to sit out on the bench and watch others succeed while feeling badly about yourself, the more you stay stuck.

Giving up never gets you what you want. Getting out there in any capacity will always change the dynamic for you. Don’t think you need the perfect strategy to succeed. You only need to get up off the ground and make a move – any move. That move supports your intention to succeed and the universe will respond in kind.

Life is too short to wait for your dreams to come true. If your life isn’t exactly where you want it to be right now, do something about it. The action of intention will always bring you success. The stronger your actions, the stronger the level of change you will bring about. What are you waiting for? Your best life is waiting for you – get out there and make a move.

This is very useful advice... especially for me! I sometimes feel paralyzed into inactivity based on not knowing what next step to take. Other times if I feel I can't do something perfectly or on my terms I don't do it at all. My biggest problem is getting started.

Hi James. Everyone's biggest problem is getting started. Trust me on that one!! Just remember you DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS, you just need to take one step - any step at all. That one step will open up doors for you. The only "wrong" thing you can do is NOT DO ANYTHING. As long as you get up and move your life can change. Always, xo donnalynn.

When You Walk With Your Head Down

… you walk into walls. It’s common sense. When you’re not looking where you’re going, you’re most likely going to end up somewhere you don’t want to be. Most of us sleepwalk our way through our lives — running the mouse wheel of life. We are so busy trying to make a living that we […]

It’s Not About Making The Right Choice

… it’s about accepting the choice you’ve already made. Our life’s path is made up of choices and there are no mistakes when it comes to making choices, because there are no right or wrong choices, there are only different choices. Don’t get caught up in the choice you’ve made – make it and move on. […]

Looking Back to the Past

… is only helpful to the extent it allows you to move forward into your future.  If it doesn’t, it keeps you back. Your life is only ever in front of you, never behind you. The past can be an informative tool if we don’t get trapped in it. If you want to uncover the […]

A Mid-life Crisis

… requires a mid-course correction. A mid-life crisis can happen at any age, but the wisdom here is that the secret to healing it, is in the way we define it. Life naturally has its ups and downs, and life is constantly asking you to define who you are in relationship to it. You’re never […]

When You’re in the Flow

… everything moves with you. And when you are not, nothing works. When you are in the flow of your life – flowing downstream — everything flows along side you. When you are out of that flow – pushing upstream — things are much more difficult. How do you know the difference? Ask yourself how […]
