Right or Wrong… first or last… new or old… One thing is for sure – they are all judgments.
Judgments are subjective opinions that have no bearing over our lives unless we give them bearing. Once we buy into our judgments about ourselves and others, our judgments become very real to us. Sometimes we mistakenly form judgments against ourselves like “we are not good enough” or “we are not smart enough.” Over time, we come to believe in these judgments. What you buy into is yours. Why buy into something that is counterproductive to the soul? If there is nothing positive in your judgment towards yourself, I suggest you rethink it.
The same goes for other’s judgments towards you. It does NOT matter what anyone else thinks about you. It only matters what YOU think about you. When you learn to detach from other’s judgments of you, your life gets profoundly happier and easier to navigate.
Judgments are extremely limiting to our experience in human form. What we think – we create, so when we start to judge others unfairly, we miss an opportunity to open up to the richness that every being brings to the table for us. You cannot judge every book by its cover. When you make snap judgments about others, you close the door to learning about yourself. Everyone has something special to offer us otherwise they would not be on our path. Slamming the door on them says that you think you know better. And trust me, ignorance never knows better.
Life is a beautiful process of being open and vulnerable to all the world has to offer. Don’t dismiss someone unfairly, you might just miss an opportunity to evolve yourself. And all those unfair/unkind judgments you cast on others will unfortunately and undoubtedly karmically boomerang back towards you in time. Keep your mind and karma clear, resist negative judgments about yourself and others. In the end, you will be the one who comes out ahead.
